Librarians are realizing the benefits of cashing in on students’ love of graphic novels and are attempting to persuade teachers to do the same; however, teachers are a bit more reluctant and tend to worry that graphic novels might “replace Twain and London with Spiderman and Archie.” The skepticism goes beyond the curricula as most teachers are also concerned with how such novels might be regarded by those outside the classroom. “Educate the Educators About Graphic Novels-Five Tips for Success” offers tips from Librarians on how to urge teachers to be less skeptical and embrace the idea of using this increasingly popular medium.
